At 1078 days on market a former contender in Berowra Waters back onto SQM's most discounted list

This week’s top 10 most discounted properties by SQM Research sees a former contender making its way back on the list into tenth place.

The four-bedroom home in Berowra Waters has been on the market for 1,078 days and has reduced its asking price by 34% since first being listed in August 2010.

The property was initially listed with an asking price of $1,199,000 but has cut that price to $795,000.

The property has no allocated parking advertised and SQM says this may be an attribute that had contributed to its lack of sale.

“Without a designated safe spot to park a vehicle, this particular property may be shunned by prospective buyers who see having a garage or carport as a must,” says SQM Research.

The property is located above a marina and could potentially attract house hunters with an interest in sailing or boats.

The three-bedroom home in Bundamba still holds the crown as most discounted around the nation.

Number 9 on the former list at 33 Fergusson Avenue Craigburn Farm in South Australia is no longer in the top 10 as it is currently under contract.
