Artist Karen Barbouttis and her lawyer husband John, the boating enthusiast, have sold their long-held Dover Heights home.

The couple moved in to the four bedroom home during the 1990s. His family had purchased the home around six decades ago.

Spread over three levels on an elevated 592 sqm parcel, the Gilbert Street home takes in harbour views from its wrap-around picture windows.

Filled with Art Deco features, Karen, a former Disney cartoonist, has made space in the attic for her art studio.

It is tipped to have sold for around $4.25 million through The Agency’s Daniel Baran and co-agency Anderson Estate Agents.
