Troy Dimech, who has Anytime Fitness franchises, secured $3.85 million when his four-bedroom semi at Centennial Park went to weekend auction.

There was just the one registered party, who made the only bid of $3.65 million.

BresicWhitney agent Ivan Bresic then negotiated the local Chinese buyer from the western suburbs to increase their offer by $200,000 post-auction.

With four bedrooms and two bathrooms, the property has two large living rooms, each with a marble fireplace.

There was an eat-in gas kitchen with a marble island and Smeg appliances.

A north-west facing landscaped courtyard provides access to the double garage.

BresicWhitney initially scheduled to take the property to June 30 auction.

Dimech had bought it for $2,265,000 in 2014 with small renovations then undertaken at the Cook Road property.

The 270 square metre 19th century residence was marketed as a timeless fusion of the modern and classic.

With just one registered party, who made only one bid of $3.65 million, BresicWhitney’s Ivan Bresic did well to persuade the local Chinese buyers from the western suburbs to up their offer by $200,000 in post-auction negotiations.

Dimech had bought it for $2,265,000 in 2014 and carried out $40,000 worth of renovations.
