Adelaide's cheapest units sell at 5% yield: CoreLogic

Sydney is the most expensive place to purchase a house while bargains may be found in Adelaide, according to CoreLogic’s latest report.

The property data firm says that on average the cost of a private treaty house in Sydney is $780,000.

The average private treaty price of a unit in Sydney is $670,000.

Hobart is the cheapest place to purchase a house with an average cost of $350,000.

Adelaide has enjoyed the cheapest units at $301,000.

A recent Adelaide sale (pictured above) was $302,500 at Blackwood, which has been a $310 a week rental representing a 5% yield.
