Actor Alison Whyte sells Bruny Island log cabin
A log cabin owned by Logie-award winner Alison Whyte and her publican husband Fred Whitlock has been sold on Bruny Island, Tasmania.
The weekender at Dennes Point sold with a suggested selling price of more than $450,000.
It spent just over a month on the market with Jude Viney at Fall Real Estate, who sold the Maria Gigney-designed home to a well-known architect.
The home, that cost Whyre and Whitlock $310,000 in 2014, was built by local artisan builder Colin Bickmore and had been a short-term accomodation business before selling to the couple.
It's split in to two offset hardwood-clad pavilions, joined by a covered deck. Together they have two bedrooms and one bathroom.
Whyte is best known for her role on the Australian television series Frontline and Satisfaction
With Whitlock, a full time drama teacher, they own Carlton's Green Man's Arms, Melbourne's only dedicated vegetarian pub.
