The two level Bondi penthouse of Sydney accountant Anthony Bell has been sold pre-auction for about $7.3 million.

The Bell Partners chief fell short of the $7.725 million paid in 2006, but the result for the near 400 square metre apartment was above the $6.5 million-plus Bethwyn Richards, McGrath Estate Agents guidance.

Bell also owns the adjoining, north-facing penthouse.

Bell and his wife, former Getaway presenter Kelly Landry, reside at their $12.5 million waterfront home bought in Watsons Bay in 2013.

The Bondi apartments were offered off the plan in 2006 by the developer Allen Linz of Rebel Property Group and Eduard Litver of Capitel Group.
