Sigma director David Bayes sells Trentham East weekender

David Bayes, the non-executive director at Sigma healthcare, and wife Susan, have sold their Trentham weekender Mulcahy for $1,717,000.

The Hepburn Shire getaway north of Melbourne was expected to see offers in excess of $1.4 million through Pat Rice & Hawkins agents Matt Childs and Peter Balharrie.

The now restored four bedroom home on 1.4 hectares was once a regional depot of a State Government Conservation Department. It cost the couple $600,000 in 2007.

Three buildings were retained from the original departmental use days.

The area's latest pricey listing is the newly built St Claire at Trentham East, which is for sale at $3,295,000 through Keatings Woodend agents John Keating and Sandi Barry-Mueller.

The French Colonial-style country house was designed by architect Ian Murray.

It is surrounded by sprawling gardens created by the owner Anne-Marie Pedeau.
