An architect designed Paddington home of a Eileen Jones, a former speech writer for two Queensland Governors, Eileen Jones has hit the market in Brisbane.

Judi O'Dea and Michael Klemeyer of Ray White Paddington have the listing.

The house at 128 Enoggera Terrace has been offered on the market for the first time in 33 years.

“My husband and I bought the land in 1986, we built the house and moved in, in 1988.

“It was very convenient for me, being close to Government House,” Ms Jones said.

Being a top speech writer for more than seven years, her first speeches were for Sir Walter Campbell AC, QC who had been previously been the Chief Justice in Queensland, before becoming the Governor in 1985.

Set on a 1,108sqm block with 21m frontage, the two storey home comes with large open plan living areas, gourmet kitchen, and L-shaped rear deck.
