Hotelier Ashton Waugh is selling his Vaucluse home with a $16 million price guide.

The home, listed by Gavin Rubinstein, Ray White network’s top performer, is his first listing in his new office in Woollahra.

The three-level home was completed two years ago with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

Peter Ahern of buck&simple Architecture cast a fresh eye over the existing home, which was gutted to include an oculus to bring natural light into the core of the home.

There’s also a cellar for 2000 wine bottles.

The Gilliver Avenue home’s panorama takes in the city skyline, Opera House and Harbour Bridge.

The 835 square metre block cost $6.7 million in 2004.

There are 28 houses for sale at Vaucluse on realestate.com.au with a $5.5 million median sale price from the 70 sales of the past year.
