Nova's Wippa amends Queens Park price guidance

Nova FM breakfast radio star Michael “Wippa” Wipfli and his wife Lisa have reduced the price guidance of their Queens Park home ahead of its auction next week.

They initially had $2.5 million hopes three weeks ago, however there’s now a $2.3 million price signalling.

That’s despite the common belief that prices had bottomed following the federal election.

The couple snapped up the home in 2014, paying $1.87 million just six days in to its marketing.

On a 160 square metre block on Rawson Avenue, the architect-designed home has four bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Phillips Pantzer Donnelley agents Debbie Donnelley and Nick Quigley are marketing the classic Federation semi.

Wippa sold in Melbourne’s Armadale in 2016 for $1,825,000.

Set near swish High Street, the home had cost $1.48 million in 2010, not long before Wipfli was transferred to Sydney.

The family are considering a move closer to schools for kids Theodore and Jack.

Wippa has been a household name since 2009 when he teamed up with Ryan Shelton and Katie “Monty” Dimond on Nova’s drive show.

In 2011 Wippa joined Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald.

Wife Lisa, whom he married in 2013, is co-owner of baby health food company Nourishing Bubs.

The Queens Park market has been active in the past few months.

The last 27 house sales had a $2.66 million median, according­ to realestate.com.au.

Film editor David Gross recently­ sold the Yenda Avenue home he bought with former partner, actor Brooke Satchwell, in 2010.

It was listed with $2.25 million hopes

. Former Australian Olympic Committee chief Fiona de Jong and husband Alfredo Pisapia spent $2.35 million on a modernised 1920s Queens Park home.
