St Giles, a historical Victorian home in Mosman has sold for $3,710,000 following a late June auction.

Brendan Warner of Raine & Horne marketed the listing for the Mosman landmark. 

Once the home of William Dind, North Sydney's first Mayor, the circa 1873 home at 44 Cowles Road has retained a number of original features including soaring cathedral ceilings, central hallway, timber floors and stained glass.

It comprises four bedrooms, an open plan kitchen, family room, large dining area, raised lounge room, entertaining terrace, large separate living room, and office or 5th bedroom area.

St Giles is surrounded by manicured gardens and fully fenced secure lawns.

Other features include reverse cycle ducted air-conditioning, plantation shutters throughout and a back to base security system.

Last sold in 2011, the home transacted for $2.08 million.
