Title TattleDecember 7, 2020

The Bellevue Hill home that belonged to Lady Sonia McMahon and her husband, former prime minister William McMahon, seems set to be listed for sale.

It last traded for $9 million in 2011 when it was bought by Amber Richmond of the RPM Electrical family, and her husband Jamie Schwarz, a Yellow Brick Road executive.

They are set to emerge as the buyers of Mark and Anna Pasternak’s Vaucluse home for $15.1 million.

McMahon had paid $123,000 for the home in 1968, the year her son, actor Julian McMahon, was born.

She bought it from turf commission agent Harold Fay.

Julian and his two sisters executed the sale in 2011, a year after their mother's death, having grown up in the home.

The study of Sir William, who died in 1988, was intact until its listing in 2011.

The six bedroom, 1920s home on Drumalbyn Road (photographed mid-week by Property Observer without any indication of listing sign board out front) is whispered to be listed seeking $18 million after its full-scale renovation.

Amber Richmond, is the granddaughter of the late Peter and Ruth Simon, who established the electrical switch manufacturers HPM Industries.
