Philanthropist Neil Balnaves lists Hope Island estate

The philanthropist Neil Balnaves has listed his Hope Island, Gold Coast estate which was inspired by the J. Paul Getty Museum.

Balnaves’ 2834 square metre Killymoon Drive mansion is centred around an outdoor courtyard with an 18 metre pool and fountains.

There's walls adorned with hand painted frescoes by artist Michael Place referencing Roman mythology.

The holiday home, built by the family in the mid-90s, is listed through Charlon Delos Angeles of Amir Mian Prestige Property Agents.

Balnaves, who founded the Southern Star Group, has been a trustee member of Bond University and was once chairman of Dreamworld operator Ardent Leisure.
