$4.9 million sale kicks off 2019 on Hedges Avenue, Mermaid Beach

A $4.9 million Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast sale was struck on Friday afternoon ahead of the long weekend.
The 215 Hedges Avenue offering had been in the same family since the late 1950s.
The 405 sqm corner block was offered through The Agency's John Natoli who had a $5.3 million price guide.
It's been the home of the retired leading Brisbane ophthalmologist Brian Gibson and wife Janette.
It's been in the Gibson family since the late 1950s when Brian's mother purchased the then beachfront cottage on a 405 sqm corner block.
It has been the couple's primary residence for the last 15 years, having previously been their weekender.
