The recently retired St George Dragon's stalwart Jason 'Gyspy' Nightingale and his lawyer wife Bianka Webb have bought in the Shire.

They're not moving quite yet, having leased the home for $1,100 a week.

They've spent $1.9 million on a three bedroom waterfront overlooking the bay.

The updated 1960s home was designed for indoor and outdoor living.

A series of living zones open to the alfresco area, swimming pool and playground on the 900 square metre parcel.

There's a separate home office in the garage.

McGrath Sutherland Shire agent Sean Egan sold the home in 16 days to the couple who currently live nearby.

Nightingale spent his whole 11 year career at The Dragons where he played 266 games. He scored 110 tries.

The 32 year old, Paddington born utility won the 2010 NRL Premiership with the Dragons and the 2008 Rugby League World Cup with New Zealand.
