Cricket Australia chairman David Peever, who just this week resigned after last week signing a new three year contract, is selling his Maroochydore investment townhouse.

Peever stepped down in the wake of the Longstaff Review into the organisation's cultural failings, which has stemmed from the ball tampering saga at the start of this year.

He's held the property, two blocks back from Maroochydore beach, for over a quarter of a century, having paid $121,525 in 1992.

He's asking $475,000 for the two bedroom townhouse in Fifth Avenue Terraces which he's renovated over his long ownership.

Peever had been in the top job at Cricket Australia for three years.

He had previously been managing director at metal and mining giant Rio Tinto.
