Retired champion jockey Darren Beadman lists Northern Beaches investment property

Retired champion jockey Darren Beadman and wife Kim are selling their northern beaches investment property.

The two bedroom, two bathroom Queenscliff apartment is on the top floor of the Laguna complex (above), with glimpses of Manly Lagoon.

It has a $1.195 million price guide through Lincoln McCarthy and Matt Lahood at The Agency for a November 17 auction.

The Dalley Street offering was bought for $750,000 in 2005 by Beadman (inset), who won seven Sydney jockey’s premierships.

Beadman, the youngest jockey to be inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame, first rode for the legendary master of apprentices, Theo Green.

His first winner was in 1982 aboard Flagette at Wyong. His first Group 1 win came on Inspired in the 1984 Golden Slipper.

In 1990 he won the Melbourne Cup on Kingston Rule, and on Saintly won the Cox Plate-Melbourne Cup double in 1996.

He has been a horse trainer since he retired in 2012.
