The gardening guru television host Brendan Moar has bought back into Sydney’s inner west.

Just months after selling in Camperdown, Moar has bought a Newtown terrace (pictured above).

Costing $1.88 million, it has been bought in partnership with showbiz mates.

Set on a 196 square metre block, it has a deep backyard full of potential, in what Raine & Horne selling agent Michael Harris described as a peaceful pocket of Newtown.

Moar’s three-level Camperdown home, marketed as a poolside entertainer, fetched $2.5 million.

Decorated in an eclectic mix of tastes, it had traded at $1,265,000 in 2009 with its garden having been featured on Channel 10’s The Living Room.

Moar has twice been voted favourite male subscription television presenter at the ASTRA Awards, having appeared on shows including Foxtel’s Dry Spell Gardening.

Moar has been busy working on property projects on the NSW south coast, including a Lake Tabourie holiday accommodation project.

The progress of the lake house home fit-out was documented on Moar’s Instagram.

It is now advertised as a designer retro beach shack, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms capable of sleeping six guests with a floor mattress.

It says it captures the spirit and fun of classic Australian beach house life. Even a record player comes with the letting.

Moar also secured an aptly named property, Pelican Brief, a waterfront home on Burrill Lake — which seems set to be his next endeavour after paying $645,000 for it last October.
