Former St Kilda star Tom Hickey is selling his Hampton East home having just been traded to the reigning Premiers West Coast Eagles for next season.

The single storey home in the heart of Melbourne's bayside cost Hickey $610,000 in 2013, shortly after signing for St Kilda.

He asked for a trade from the Gold Coast suns to be closer to his Melbourne-based girlfriend, now fiancee, Chloe Foreman.

The home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a landscaped rear garden on its 270 sqm Widdop Crescent parcel.

Buxton Hampton East agent Sharon Quick has an $820,000 to $880,000 guide for its November 17 auction.

Hickey had been with the Saints since 2013 when he moved from the Gold Coast Suns where he started his career.
