Bass Lodge, the most recognizable house in Flinders that surrounded by landscaped gardens, has hit the market.

It was once the weekender of the Coles retailing family back in the early 20th century.

The circa 1915 home has been listed by Tom Barr Smith and Prue McLaughlin from Kay & Burton Flinders.

Sitting on a 5342 sqm block of land, Bass Lodge at 33 Bass Street has been fully renovated and restored.

Bass Lodge is ideally located just a few minutes walk to the shops, cafes and restaurants of the Village, the popular Flinders Hotel, the Flinders Golf Club, the beach and the pier.

The suburb's median house price sits at $1.67 million according to CoreLogic.

The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home on 5342sq m has a price guide of $8-$8.5 million, which would be a suburb record for a residential house not on an acreage.

The record house price of $6.56 million was paid earlier this year for the 2800sq m 14 Bass Street.
