Hong Kong-born Australian artist John Young and his art director wife Kate Mizrahi are selling their Girraween, their long-held Hawthorn home which comes with arched hallway and classical ceilings.

The grand double-storey 1880s Victorian era home on Power Street cost the couple $1.5 million in 2003.

They've since renovated the four bedroom, two bathroom home which comes with library.

There's double-glazed windows behind its high fence.

The home sits in 1,190 sqm grounds, with a country-inspired rear garden which comes with established kitchen garden and potager shed.

Young's first exhibition was in 1979.
