Former world champion boxer Jeff Horn attended the auction of a Sunnybank Hills home at the weekend.

He was at the auction of 82 The Avenue in Sunnybank Hills with his trainer Glenn Rushton, wife Jo and nine-month-old daughter Isabelle Kate.

“There’s a heap of people here, it’s crazy,” Horn told The Courier Mail before the auction.

“I don’t think all of them are going to be bidding, but are here to have a look."

Bidding started at $2.5 million, with negotiations back and forth between multiple bidders for about an hour.

When the bidding stalled at just over $3 million, "Horn decided to throw in the towel."

The house was formally passed in at $3.35 million, with negotiations ongoing.

Place agent Kevin Chiu, who is marketing the property, spoke with Horn who lives locally.

Horn calls Acacia Ridge home, where he's owned a three bedroom, 1950s home south of Brisbane since paying $347,000 in 2013.

Sunnybank Hills is classed by realestate.com.au as a high demand market.

Place Coorparoo lead agent Kevin Chiu said they had more than 200 inspections on the property and expected at least 10 people to register to buy.

Chui told The Courier-Mail the renovation's attention to detail had been turning heads, particularly its $150,000 kitchen renovation.

The house has a professional grade cinema with 4k 3D media room with 138-inch screen.

The property last sold in 2014 at $1,465,000.
