Winter proved no deterrent for the continued buoyancy of the Southern Highlands trophy home property market.

The pricey hobby farm playground has just seen the arrival of the latest big name buyer, the Point Piper-based entrepreneur Peter Ivany, who was once CEO of Hoyts cinemas, and wife Sharon.

They have spent $5.7 million to secure Autumn Park, a rustic brick barn converted into a cutting edge home at Mittagong.

It comes with a contemporary butterfly roofed pavilion extension.

There's a plunge pool, a tennis court, dressage arena and four paddocks on its 40 hectares.

Sarah Wotton at Highlands Property Bowral sold the home after seeking $5 million plus.

New locals who could be possibly spotted at its upcoming 58th tulip time festival include the fitness guru Michelle Bridges who paid $2.7 million in Kangaloon last December and shock jock Kyle Sandilands who paid $2,982,500 in Robertson in January.
