The millionaire mining businessman Nick Curtis and his wife, Angela have emerged as the buyers of one of 'Aussie' John Symond's Elizabeth Bay investment apartments.

They paid $7.25 million for the Onslow Avenue apartment.

Symond had paid $6,125,000 for the three bedroom, three bathroom apartment in 2015, before it became a $3,900 a week rental to the Curtis clan.

With full-width waterfront balcony, it sits in the six level, nine apartment complex designed by PTW Architects' Andrew Andersons.

For a longtime the couple owned on Queen Street, Woollahra having bought in 2004 from the 2SM radio broadcaster John Laws and wife Caroline, and before that at Mosman and Castlecrag.
