Mining millionaire buys one of Aussie John Symond's Elizabeth Bay investment apartments

The millionaire mining businessman Nick Curtis and his wife, Angela have emerged as the buyers of one of 'Aussie' John Symond's Elizabeth Bay investment apartments.

They paid $7.25 million for the Onslow Avenue apartment.

Symond had paid $6,125,000 for the three bedroom, three bathroom apartment in 2015, before it became a $3,900 a week rental to the Curtis clan.

With full-width waterfront balcony, it sits in the six level, nine apartment complex designed by PTW Architects' Andrew Andersons.

For a longtime the couple owned on Queen Street, Woollahra having bought in 2004 from the 2SM radio broadcaster John Laws and wife Caroline, and before that at Mosman and Castlecrag.
