Julian, Nicholas, Margarita and Luke Playoust, beneficiaries of the Tattersall gambling empire, have sold Treetops at Palm Beach for $2.5 million.

Treetops is a charming 1960s beach cottage that harks back to a bygone era.

The land, that sits between Florida Road and Mitchell Road, was initially secured by patriarch architect John Playoust in the mid-1960s who practice was expanded in the 1970s to a successful development company, then private equity fund.

The Playousts paid $15,000 for the block which was bought from the Bible Garden founder Gerald Hercules Robinson.

It was sold through Andrew Mappin in conjunction with Christies International.
