The Burke family's Stanley House sold in the Brisbane Valley

The Burke family's Brisbane Valley property Stanley House, an 819-hectare rural property with freehold access to the water level of Somerset Dam, has been sold.

It is the first time the property has been offered on the market since its settlement in 1885.

It was listed by Rawdon Briggs and Ben Forrest from Colliers International.

Situated in a prime South East Queensland position, Stanley House at Stanley Pocket Road, Crossdale includes 698ha freehold and 6.1ha Wivenhoe Dam lease on the banks of Somerset Dam.

There are also cattle yards that can accommodate up to 300 head and steel horse yards.

It is only 1.5 hours from the Brisbane CBD.
