The Manly NRL star Daly Cherry-Evans is selling his Mermaid Beach investment property.

It wasn't planned to be an investment for the Manly-based Sea Eagles skipper, who bought it in May 2015 when he had signed a four year deal with the Gold Coast Titans.

A few days after he exchanged on the property he backflipped and instead signed an eight year extension with the Sea Eagles, keeping him at Brookie.

The Gold Coast home quickly became a $1,300 a week rental.

The 1970s beach house had cost Cherry-Evans $1.45 million.

Set 250 metres from Nobby Beach, it has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

There's a parents retreat with its own balcony, ensuite and walk in wardrobe.

The living and dining areas open to the outdoor entertaining spaces overlooking a swimming pool (pictured above) on its 405 sqm Petrel Avenue parcel.

LJ Hooker Broadbeach agent Matt Conduit is marketing the home with $1.75 million price guidance.

The listing comes soon after DCE made a match-winning contribution to Queensland's game III win after years of State of Origin exile.

He has been at Manly since 2011, where the 29 year old is now approaching 200 games for the northern beaches club.

He's based nearby with his long-time partner Vessa Rockliff in a $1,355,000 Curl Curl home.

The Sea Eagles are set to miss out on finals footy for the third time in four seasons.
