Aussie cricketer Nathan Lyon is yet to sell his Vaucluse investment apartment which was passed in at recent auction on an opening $1.1 million vendor bid.

Auctioneer Damien Cooley indicated there were two parties yet to get their purchasing capabilities finalised.

The Test veteran, who wasn't selected for the current T20 tri-series in Zimbabwe, paid $1.1 million in 2015.

The two bedder in a 1970s built complex which has been an $800 a week rental is now for sale at $1,125,000.

The Diamond Bay Road apartment has been listed by local agent Brad Pillinger who was initially advising inspects that more than $1.2 million was being sought.

Lyon is back on Australian shores after being part of the Australian team who were white-washed 6-0 in England earlier this year.
