Wentworth Falls cottage The Black Shack listed

Interior designer and stylist Jane Frosh and husband, landscape designer Michael, are selling their Wentworth Falls cottage which Jane dubs 'The Black Shack'.

The couple paid $610,000 for the home in 2009 and renovated extensively.

Dubbed vintage industrial, a black and white theme runs throughout the four bedroom designer home.

Michael was in control of the garden, building a tree house that doubles as a pirate ship for their three kids, as well as building boxed garden plots planted with herbs, salad greens and other vegetables.

The weatherboard cottage, featured in past issues of Inside Out Magazine, Country Style, Donna Hay Magazine and Sunday Style, was originally constructed in 1910, and has been ushered into the 21st century with the addition of a contemporary rear barn extension that both sympathises with the original features of the cottage and also offers the luxury of a generous, modern living space.

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, the cottage rests on 2400 square metres of flat, subdividable land with hedged rose garden.

Purcell is also marketing the Wentworth Falls home of designer and sculptor Paul Begg, who paid $180,000 for a humble cottage nearly 20 years ago.

Wentworth Falls median house price sits at $695,000, according to Coreogic, with just the four sales over $2 million in past decade.

There have been 23 over $1 million since the start of last year.
