Jockey Brenton Avdulla has sold his Zetland home, just weeks off being crowned Sydney racing’s premiership rider.

He’s secured $2.01 million for the inner-city terrace that cost him $1.85 million two years ago. Avdulla has an eye on moving closer to the coast.

His four-bedroom Zetland home was among a handful of terraces in the award-winning ARC development designed by Tonkin Zulaikha Greer in 2003.

Spanning three levels with a split level design, it has a gourmet open-plan kitchen and separate living spaces which flow to front and rear courtyards.

Avdulla has renovated the rear level garden with a brand-new decking.

Joe Recep and Martin Farah at NG Farah Coogee sold the property for the 27-year-old jockey who is enjoying his career-best season.

The Melbourne-born jockey, who won the Golden Slipper on Estijaab in March, has earned over $11 million in prizemoney for owners this season. Avdulla still owns a one-bedroom unit in Kensington, a short stroll from Royal Randwick, and bought a four-bedroom terrace off the plan in an upcoming Silkari development in Pagewood.

He was on one winner at Rosehill on the weekend where he moved a step closer to the premiership title, having ridden his 81st city winner and 151st on all tracks this season, including Sparkly Star midweek. After bettering last season’s 79 wins, Avdulla thanked his manager Mark Van Triet.

"Great thrill to be able to set a goal and reach it with still 6 weeks left of the season," he tweeted along with a video of the win on Sparkly Star.

"First time I have broke the 150 win barrier and also riding my 80th metro winner in NSW breaking last years previous best of 79.

"Thanks to my manager for putting in the hard yards."
