Scotts Honda Motors former owner turned property investor Paul Scharrer and his wife Pam have sold their Point Piper apartment.

They are the whispered buyers of the $30 million O'Neil boathouse on the Point Piper waterfront.

Ending almost 60 years of family ownership, there is still no exact price reveal on the sale.

The couple’s apartment in the Kilmory Estate was listed for $10 million.

The Scharrers’ garden three-bedroom apartment was bought in 2016 for $6.5 million from Cynthia Cheung, of the Coogee Bay Hotel family.
