The recently retired Queensland Rugby Union chief Richard Barker and wife Tracey have snappily sold their inner-city Brisbane home, just south of the Gabba.

They secured $1.25 million for the 1900s WOOLLOONGABBA Queenslander that cost the couple $850,000 in 2012. It was renovated under the eye of Tracey, a keen decorator.

The four bedroom, three bathroom home features a rear deck which overlooks the swimming pool on the 615 sqm parcel.

Their five kids have now grown up and moved out.

Glynis Austin Properties agent Glynis Austin sold the home.

Richard Barker was the general manager of Southern Cross Austereo before his stint at QLD Rugby Union.
