Avon Court in Hawthorn has been listed off market with $45 million to $50 million price hopes.

The 4645sq m property shares a side fence with ex-Australia Post boss Ahmed Fahour’s Hawthorn mansion which was listed with $40 million to $44 million only last week.

Avon Court last sold for $19.8 million in 2014 in an off market purchase by a Chinese family from Kew.

Avon Court, the high profile Hawthorn mansion, features nine bedrooms.

The 18-20 Shakespeare Grove offering has been described in The Herald Sun by RT Edgar agent Helena Chow as “one of Melbourne’s finest.”

The building area is 218 squares (2025sq m).

It has been sold many times over recent years.

Avon Court had traded for $5.7 million in 2003 with a rumoured $9 million or more spent on building two new wings, a cinema, gymnasium, sauna, 10-car garage and replacement tennis court.
