The Mosman home of veteran company director Roy Woodhouse and wife, Virginia has been listed for sale.

Woodhouse served as the deputy chairman at the property group, Charter Hall Group until 2013.

He was best known for his time as the chairman of Knight Frank Asia Pacific.

The Grecia Lane home, once known as Caisleal, has been renovated by architect Walter Barda since the couple bought it from the king of daytime television Mike Walsh.

The work was undertaken about 15 years ago.

The property was bought for $2.6 million in 2000. I recall the impresario had $2 million-plus expectations through Ken Jacobs of Christie's in conjunction with McGrath's John McGrath.

It was the passing of Andy Walsh's labrador, that paved the way for the sale decision.

Given its makes the most of its north-easterly aspect, the current listing agent John Sullivan at Sullivan Real Estate has given buyers a $5.75 million to $6.25 million price guidance.

There is direct access from the bottom of the garden to Rosherville Reserve with a short walk across to Chinamans Beach.

Followers of the Mosman property merry-go-round still await settlement details of the year's top sale when the Balmoral Slopes home home of REA Group board member and former Foxtel chief executive Richard Freudenstein and his wife Jane sold, setting an all-time high for the lower north shore.

A sold sign went up on in February, just three weeks after the sales campaign for the trophy home was launched with $25 million price hopes.

The sale of the non-waterfront residence, set on the high side of Burran Avenue.
