The majestic residence at 31 Buccaneer Court, Surfers Paradise has been sold by Sam Guo of Ray White Broadbeach.

It fetched a street record of just under $6 million when sold to a local Chinese buyer.

Pat Worboys, who owns an interior design styling business designready.com.au, transformed the home over 18 months.

It was marketed as a picture of functional opulence and timeless beauty, taking inspiration from a classic French chateau with contemporary upstate New York influences.

The five bedroom home sold to a buyer who fell in love with its classy fittings, position and beautiful presentation.

The waterfront home boasts the finest fittings and fixtures throughout, including imported marble, polished Italian Shivakashi granite, pristine Baltic Oak parquetry floors, forged iron balconies and grand staircase, imported French shutters and Himalayan sandstone.

The latest sale comes on the back of Mr Guo selling 31-33 The Corso, Isle of Buchan Group for $8.8 million off-market to an undisclosed Asian buyer during the lucky Chinese lunar golden week.

“The Gold Coast has well and truly come of age and it’s great to see such confidence in the luxury market.”
