Sir Owen Glenn lists in Double Bay with $13 million hopes
The philanthropic Kiwi businessman Sir Owen Glenn is seeking $13 million for his Double Bay apartment.
He's the former part owner of the New Zealand Warriors NRL side, owning a stake in the side from 2000 until 2015 when he sold his 50% stake to Eric Watson.
The Gladswood Gardens apartment, more house-size according to Laing + Simmons listing agents Bart Doff and Sally Hampshire, sits in a triplex harbour front block.
Glenn's $9 million purchase back in 2010 was the last sale in the complex that has its own swimming pool and spa.
Stockbroker John Bowie Wilson and wife Sally bought just a few months earlier, paying $5.8 million for their slice of the ultra-tightly held building.
The other apartment in the block has been owned by AdNews founder David Yaffa since 2001. He paid $3.63 million.
Glenn's two level waterfront apartment comprises 520 square metres of indoor and outdoor living.
It has three bedrooms, four bathrooms and a separate study and comes complete with bespoke interiors by architect Nick Tobias and designer Alexandra Kidd.
The living and dining area opens to a waterfront terrace and lawn which look out over Double Bay Beach and the Double Bay marina.
Doff and Hampshire have set a May 8 auction.
