Restaurateur Kingsley Smith secures Vaucluse sale
Prominent Sydney restaurateur Kingsley Smith and hotelier wife Natasha Stanley secured $8.45 million when their Vaucluse home went to weekend auction.
The busy couple, who own Paddington's historic London Hotel as well as China Diner in Bondi, paid $5.01 million for the home in 2014.
They left Woollahra where Stanley sold her designer residence for $8.6 million a year earlier.
The Vaucluse property was custom-built by architect Ian Poole for the former owners, US-based expats Dov and Lara Mowszowski.
It has six bedrooms, separate guest accomodation, a study and a heated infinity edge swimming pool amid manicured gardens.
McGrath Group had a guide of $8 million.
