The former Today Show weather presenter Steve Jacobs and wife, Rose, are selling their matrimonial Coogee home.

Ballard Property Group Double Bay agents James Ball and Shane Scicluna have set an April 7 auction.

The price guidance is $4 million to $4.4 million.

The couple have been based in Vanuatu with their two daughters, Isabella and Francesca since 2016.

Rose told news.com.au that Vanuatu wasn’t a flip of the coin choice because they fell in love with the people and the pace.

The move reportedly followed a  heart-to-heart conversation about what the couple wanted for their girls. Rose noted their kids were “obsessed with iPads, sugar, any type of Frozen paraphernalia and on a weekend when the sun was shining and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world were right at the end of our street, they instead had begged to stay home and watch TV.”

A three-hour flight time from Vanuatu to Sydney meant Steve managed to renegotiate his work schedule.

He had been fulltime in the Monday to Friday Today team for 12 years.

Jacobs’ Instagram has been flooded with pictures of Isabella and Francesca loving life on the island with their seeming major concern being adverse weather conditions.

They recently had to put up their cyclone shutters as cyclone Hola passed the island earlier this month.

But Sydney Confidential reported in The Sunday Telegraph that after 11 years together and seven years of marriage, the couple have separated.

Coogee was the suburb they moved to after deciding to relocate to Sydney from chilly Melbourne in 2008.

Initially they bought a three-bedroom home but upgraded in 2011, paying $2.55 million.

Upon their move to the South Pacific island, the Coogee home became a $3500-a-week rental.

The contemporary three-level beach house at the southern end of the beach has four bedrooms as well as a separate studio room above the garage.

The master retreat spans the whole top floor and comes with an ensuite, dressing room and terrace with views of the ocean.
