The Whale Beach property belonging to Andrew Liveris, the manufacturing head of Donald Trump's regime, has been confirmed as selling to the next door neighbour.

It was anticipated after the recent auction.

Point Piper based dental entrepreneur David Penn and wife Linda now have a 2,150 sqm Whale Beach Road holding on the cliff overlooking the water.

The latest $3,365,000 purchase (above) adds to their nearly complete Michael Suttor-designed weekender that cost them $3,075,000 in 2012 before construction got underway.

Liveris, a Darwin-born businessman at the Dow Chemical Company, briefly listed the Whale Beach Road property this time last year.

The 1970s cottage cost $3,675,000 in 2006.

Liveris still holds a Point Piper apartment which was bought with one eye on his imminent retirement.

He paid $8.5 million for the Point Piper apartment completed by architect Nevio Casali.
