Kyal and Kara sell Long Jetty offering

Kyal and Kara Demmrich pocketed a very nice $1.59 million when their Long Jetty renovation project went to auction yesterday.

The expectant reno duo who starred in the 2013 Sky High series on The Block - and have since been regulars on The Living Room - had paid $710,000 earlier this year.

Some 1000 locals inspected their unique renovation offering during the four week marketing campaign. There were 13 registered bidders.

With retro-influenced feel of the Palm Springs, the NSW Central Coast home has raked ceilings soaring up to 3.6 metres in living areas which, when combined with skylights, casement windows and oversized stackable glass sliding doors, provided a grand statement and sense of space.

LJ Hooker Bateau Bay agents Penny Hancock and Paul Witney secured the bullish sale of the four bedroom, three bathroom home to Peter Scown. 

The Sydney clearance rate bounced up from a disappointing mid 50s last week on the weekend albeit with a high unreported rate.
