Buyer back out puts Mosman mansion back on the market

Queant, the Mosman mansion of Boston Consultion senior adviser Maurice Koop and wife Elva has returned to the market.

It came after a buyer failed to proceed with their purchase, according to the Mosman Domain insider grapevine.

It is believe the rumoured buyer for the Middle Head Road offering was prepared to pay around $8.5 million.

The landmark early 1890s home was one of the first Merchant homes in Mosman.

Set on the Middle Head Road dress circle, the restored home on 1,280 sqm has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a bespoke library and a swimming pool.

There's a $7.5 million to $8.25 million guide this time around.

Belle had the place listed for September sale, with the marketing resumed this week with a December 19 deadline.

The agency tried this time last year to to find a real buyer.
