Dairy and agricultural products exporter Vicfarm has leased a Hawthorn building for its new Melbourne office headquarters.

The 620 sqm, two-level office building at 8 Yarra Street in Melbourne’s inner-east offers a mix of refurbished character and traditional office space, high ceilings and ample natural light, and is on a site with 12 car parks.

Fitzroys agents Chris James and Stephen Land negotiated the 3x3-year deal at around $130,000 per annum gross, within six weeks of launching their campaign after the property had previously been on the market for nearly 12 months.

James said that with office stock in the Melbourne CBD heavily constrained and a limited supply pipeline forecast for the next two-to-three years, tenants are Looking beyond the city for new space.

“Medium and high-density development through Melbourne’s inner suburbs have enhanced the lifestyle and retail precincts and made office spaces in those locations a more attractive prospect for businesses to operate from.”

Land said the design of the building’s interior and excellent natural light further underpinned its desirability.
