A Templestowe Lower homes whose shape resembles Star Trek’s USS Enterprise has been sold.

It fetched $1,225,000 when bought by a developer who will likely demolish.

CoreLogic records show it last changed hands for $901,000 in February last year.

The dodecagon part of the house is carved into six triangular shaped spaces, a bathroom with a spa bath, three bedrooms, a kitchen, as well as a laundry and powder room.

A circular passageway with a light well connects the pieces of the 1960s two-storey, four-bedroom house at 15 Linton Avenue.

Set on a 652 square metre block, the property came with approved plans and permits for two townhouses, Jellis Craig, Doncaster, agent Andrew Keleher said.

Keleher said the history of the property, suggesting the reason behind its design, had been lost over time.
