Karl Stefanovic's former Cremorne rental secures new tenants at reduced rate

The former Cremorne rental abode of breakfast television co-host Karl Stefanovic has found new tenants, but at a reduced rental for the landlord.

It was a $2100-a-week rental when Stefanovic moved in this time last year after quitting the Lindfield matrimonial home.

The three-level Tobruk Avenue home, which is set in lush tropical gardens overlooking Brightmore Reserve, became available at $2200 a week on his exit.

But the home was only taken when the asking rental dropped to $1980 a week.

The second living area and alfresco terrace with built-in barbecue overlook the pool.

It is where the Today show co-host celebrated his 43rd birthday in August.

Stefanovic and shoe designer partner Jasmine Yarbrough are now residing in Mosman in a five-bedroom home that traded for $3.25 million in 2006.

Stefanovic and wife Cassandra Thorburn’s marriage came to an abrupt end in October last year after 21 years together.

The couple had lived at Lindfield since 2010 with their three children.

Their $3,875,000 Lindfield sale came after the family had committed in June last year to 12-month delayed settlement terms on trading up big time to an $8 million home on the Cremorne harbourfront.

Their trampoline was recently swept into the water after coming loose in a wind gust.
