Brisbane's 1860s trophy home Cintra listed for sale

Cintra House in Brisbane's Bowen Hills has been listed for sale.

The Boyd Street home was built in 1863 by architect Benjamin Backhouse and was once the home to former Queensland premier Boyd Dunlop Morehead.

The six bedroom sandstone home, once used as a convent, sits on 3050 sqm and last traded for $2.1 million in 2001.

Set on what's known as known as Heritage Hill, Cintra has 300 degree views to Brisbane City, the river, Hamilton Hill and the Gateway Bridge.

There is a tennis court and tennis house and swimming pool.
