Having spent around $17 million on a Toorak mansion, celebrity chef Shannon Bennett and actor wife Madeleine West have listed Barwon, their luxury South Yarra home.

The couple bought the 1880s home for $4,805,000 in 2012, upgrading from Kensington.

There are $7 million to $7.7 million price indications.

Set on 1250 sqm, the four bedroom Victorian home is flanked by north-facing gardens and an outdoor entertainment area featuring a pool, spa and pool house with sauna.

A self-contained studio sits in the grounds and there's a 3000 bottle temperature controlled wine cellar.

Ross Savas and Steven Rode are marketing the home which had a Jackson Clement Burrows' renovation and extension by the prior owner, National Pacific Properties.

The couple bought a four level Lansell Road home from Melbourne pub owner Mazen Tabet earlier this year.
