Fitness industry pioneer Tony de Leede is having another go at selling his redundant Mermaid Beach home in the resurgent Gold Coast market.

Set on Hedges Avenue - the so-called millionaire's row - the contemporary four level home last traded at $7.3 million in 2009.

It's been a consistent rental for the Bondi Beach-based entrepreneur. Last year it was up at $2,500 a week.

He tried to sell the home in 2012 but a buyer didn't come forward at its then $6.5 million asking price.

The four bedroom home with gym and steam room features an entertaining area with fire place and built in barbecue that adjoins the swimming pool.

Todd Curran at Curran Prestige has the listing.

De Leede founded Fitness First in 1993.
