David Lander selling National Trust-listed property Cleburne

The Risdon, Hobart home of playwright David Lander has been listed with $1.6 million to $1.9 million hopes.

The playwright and poet and his artist wife, Penelope, are selling their National Trust-listed property Cleburne.

It is an 1830s colonial homestead, currently run as a successful bed and breakfast operation.

Cleburne comprises four sandstone farm buildings sitting on 1.8 hectares.

It comes with a total of nine bedrooms and seven bathrooms,

The property has five guest suites, a dining room, a kitchen with exposed beams and a lounge room with open fireplace.
