Geelong scores 86% auction clearance rate: CoreLogic
Geelong once again took the top spot with the highest weekend auction clearance rate, according to CoreLogic’s latest report.
The property data firm says that Geelong had a clearance rate of 86.7% for its 30 auctions.
This is followed by Hunter region with 72% and Wollongong with 70.4%.
Gold Coast had the lowest clearance rate with only 28% of its 25 auctions cleared.
A three bedroom house at 45 Austin Street, Newtown (above) was sold for $950,000.
It last sold in 1993 for $150,000.
A four bedroom house at 32 Roslyn Road, Belmont (below) was sold over the weekend for $812,000.
It last sold for $281,000 in 2001.
