A home on 4.05 hectares in South Australia's McLaren Vale wine growing region is being auctioned Saturday 9 September.

The property, 174 Moritz Rd, Blewitt Springs is surrounded on all sides by vineyards.

It has a water licence of 1.756L and a family of alpacas will be included, by negotiation.

Jason O’Halloran, Ray White Morphett Vale marketing agent said there is no more residential land being released in the area because of its value from a viticulture point of view.

“Development is strictly controlled because of the profit in the soil ... this is significant earth,” he said.

"We have listed a price guide of $800,000 and phone bidding is an option.

“I will run a live Facebook inspection for anyone who is interested on touring this property before it goes under the hammer."

Sellers Heather and Craig Williams have kept the four-bedroom, two-bathroom home and surrounding land in good condition.

“We moved here to raise our boys, and now they are all grown up it's time for another family to love the property,” Mr Williams said.

“Over the years, being so close to all the local festivals and events has had a huge positive impact on our lifestyle, whilst at the same time we are right on the Adelaide metro area doorstep.

“This has not been an easy decision to sell the family home, and whoever calls this place home next will soon find out that the local community, the wine region and this property become part of who you are.

“It's a great life for anyone to have.”

The on-site auction of 174 Moritz Rd, Blewitt Springs is scheduled for Saturday, September 9 at midday.
